The SandGlider is a random orbital sander designed for fine finishing, removing old surface coatings (like varnish or wax), and light leveling. For severely cupped, uneven, or heavily damaged floorboards, we recommend using an aggressive drum sander first, followed by the SandGlider for a perfect, smooth finish.

Do I need a separate edge sander with this machine?
In most standard rooms, the SandGlider can sand right up to the edges and close into corners, eliminating the need for a traditional edge sander. However, if your skirting boards are left in place or the room has highly complex architectural angles, minor manual detailing may still be required.

Does the SandGlider hire include sanding pads?
No, sanding pads are not included in the standard hire rate. Because every floor requires a different grit sequence (from coarse stripping to fine finishing), sanding pads are sold separately at an extra cost. We stock a full range of high-quality, quick-change Velcro abrasive discs in various grit sizes. To ensure you have the right amount and type for your specific project, please speak to our team when booking. Any unused pads can be returned for a full refund upon return of the machine.
